Microsoft's Xbox Handheld Console 'Essentially Canceled', Company to Work on Xbox Software Platform: Report

Microsoft has reportedly cancelled its own Xbox handheld console, days after Asus unveiled its ROG Xbox Ally. The company will now focus on developing its new Xbox software platform, instead of launching a Nintendo Switch competitor. The Asus ROG Xbox Ally could be the first of many handheld consoles to arrive with Microsoft's improved software platform.
