WhatsApp now lets you send instant video messages, heres how

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta,  has made an exciting announcement regarding an upcoming update on WhatsApp. This latest update will introduce a new feature for WhatsApp users to share short, personal videos directly within their chats. Drawing parallels to the popularity of audio messages, the video messages come with some unique upgrades.

The instant video messages on WhatsApp enable users to respond to chats in real time using up to 60 seconds of recorded video content, just like voice message feature. It can be utilized for various purposes such as conveying birthday wishes, sharing laughter over jokes, or delivering heartening news to friends and family.

WhatsApp has presented several interesting use cases for this feature, addressing any potential queries about its practicality. Whatsapp has also claimed that all video messages are protected by end-to-end encryption, ensuring the privacy and security of users' communications.

Using the new Video Messages Feature is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1 - Open the Whatsapp App.

Step 2 - Open the chat of your preferred person or group where you want to send instant video messages.

Step 3 - You can see a microphone icon right next to the text section, in the bottom right corner, tap that icon to switch to video mode.

Step 4 - Record the video by holding that icon or you can swipe up to lock the record button so that you don’t have to keep holding it.

Step 5 - After recording the video either leave the hold button to send or click on send if the recording button is locked.

The rollout of video messages has already begun and WhatsApp users can eagerly anticipate seeing this feature integrated into their app in the coming weeks.
