Well, it’s that time of the year when we get the new Galaxy timepieces. The newcomers are christened the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Yes, Samsung brings back the Classic moniker and ditches the Pro model. The fan favorite physical rotating bezel also makes a comeback on this Classic variant. Besides this and a bigger dial size option, there is hardly any other difference between the regular and Classic models.

But, here we are not to drudge through the specifications and comparison of the two Galaxy Watch 6 editions. Rather, let’s learn about some unique features of the new watches.

1. Samsung takes sleep health analysis to next level with physical and mental recovery report and Sleep Consistency stat for letting you know how consistent are your sleep and wake times.

You also get an Enhanced Sleep Coaching for personalized instructions, tips and reminders. The watch can also automatically set other Samsung devices in your smart home to aid a good night sleep.

2. Although not a new feature, ​​Body Composition is something very handy to know one’s physical state. It takes into account aspects like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water and body fat percentage. 

3. Even regular health metrics like heart rate measurement is done in a more advanced manner. Watch 6 series notifies you of Irregular Heart Rhythm, symptomatic of Atrial fibrillation (AFib).

4. There is a skin temperature sensor for menstrual health scanning in women among other applications. One such interesting use of this API and tech is Thermo Check which lets Watch 6 users to measure the temperature of things like food, water, etc via infrared.

5. There are plenty of activity modes and you can track most sports out there. Making things even better is the Custom Workout option that lets you create a personalized workout routine that suits your time and goals.

6. You get to interact with all these features through a 20% larger display, that has got 30% slimmer bezel on the Watch 6 and a 15% thinner rotating bezel on the Classic model. The Watch 6 lineup sports 2000 nits of peak brightness too just like the Apple Watch Ultra.

You can buy the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm variant for $300 (~₹24,561) and 44mm variant for $330 (~₹27,017). The Classic model's 43mm variant is available for $400 (~₹32,748) and 47mm for $430 (~₹35,204). The Indian pricing and availability details will be out soon. We shall keep you posted.
