Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 launched with major upgrades: Better display, faster processor and more

The Galaxy Unpacked event is finally here and it brings along a lot of cool Samsung products. Samsung has rolled out the latest generation of Galaxy S series tablets along with Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and more in the Galaxy Unpacked event. The launch event took place in the home country, in Seoul, South Korea. The Galaxy Tab S9 series includes two models; the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9 Plus and Galaxy S9 Tab Ultra. Let’s see what the Galaxy S Tab series has to offer this year.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

The Galaxy Tab S9 features a 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with the support of up to 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the customised Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is packed with a 8400mAh battery.  

Furthermore, it boasts a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back and a 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. 

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is launched at a starting price of $799 (approx. ₹65,000).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus is equipped with a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that supports 120Hz refresh rate. The high-end tablet comes with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. 

On the camera front, it has a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back. On the front, it features a 12-megapixel sensor. It packs a 10,090mah battery. 

Samsung rolled out the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus at a starting price of $999 (approx. ₹80,000)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

This is the top variant of Galaxy Tab S9 series and it comes with the same display type and processor but it has a huge battery, more storage and four cameras.

It has a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a customised Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It offers up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage and packs a big 11,200mAh battery. 

Talking about the camera, the tablet has dual camera setups on both sides. It has a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the back. Along with that, it features two 12-megapixel sensors on the front. 

This premium tablet starts from $1,199 (approx. ₹1,00,000).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

The tablets are now available for pre-order on Samsung's official website. However, the Indian prices are not revealed yet.

Additionally, Samsung will also offer you the S-pen along with the Galaxy S9 Tablets and they feature the IP68 rating against dust and water. However, the exciting news is that the company has made some major changes in this year’s Galaxy Tab S9 series. The South Korean company has upgraded the display type in Galaxy Tab S9 series from Super AMOLED to Dynamic AMOLED 2X. Apart from that, it has also featured its famous Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy in the tablet lineup. This processor was also used in the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
