iMessage works on Windows 11 devices: Heres how

Microsoft has been bringing in quite a lot of upgrades recently, including a lot of AI tools to use. Some of those Windows upgrades aim to connect Android and iOS devices more seamlessly.

Microsoft's Phone Link, which was named as Your Phone app during its launch, allows Android devices to build a connection with Windows. Through this feature it's easy to send or receive files, also text and call and have control over the phone's music without touching your phone when you are on your laptop.

But this wasn't available for iPhones, which is now going to change in May, 2023. Microsoft will be launching Phone Link iPhone support which will further allow iPhones to have the same advantage that the Android users only had access to. For this the Link to Windows app for iOS is needed.

Windows 11

This change will include iMessage support with Windows 11. But there are limitations to it. This new feature will allow you to receive and send texts but a lot of other features of iMessage won't be possible, like group chats, sending images or videos and also conversation history won't be available.

For iMessage to run properly it is very important to connect the iPhone to the Windows 11 device using Bluetooth. A lot of macOS users don't like using it because of complications but they use it because it makes calling and texting easier for them when they are on their laptop swamped with work. But hopefully, the introduction of this in Windows will give them a ray of hope.

Like macOS, probably Windows will not be able to get all features of iMessage perfectly. But, this is just the first step and as time passes Windows has better plans with iPhones the way they have strived better in terms of Android.

With more Apple devices launching very soon, this feature is going to be really useful for iOS users and especially the ones who don't want to use their phone when they are busy on their laptop and also miss nothing,
