HP has given a 17-3-inch 16:9 LCD matte screen with up to QHD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response times, and 300 nits of peak brightness.

Above the display, there is a 720P camera with integrated dual array digital microphones and below sits an optical mechanical keyboard. It has backlight but no numpad.

There is a Bang & Olufson stereo speaker setup for audio.

3. Ports and Connectivity

HP Omen 17 offers 1x Thunderbolt 4.0 port (40 Gbps), 1x Thunderbolt 3.0 port, 3x USB Type-A ports, 1x HDMI 2.1 port, 1x 3.5 mm audio jack, 1x mini DP port, 1x RJ45 Ethernet jack, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

4. Processor and Software

Under the hood, Omen 17 houses up to 13th gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor coupled with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU. 

To keep things cool, there is Omen Tempest Cooling Technology for “desktop-calibre gaming”.

On the software side, you are getting Windows 11 with goodies like Omen Gaming Hub (a one-stop spot for tuning all things gaming related on the machine).

5. Memory and Battery

The laptop ships with up to 32 GB of DDR5 5,600 RAM and up to 2 TB NVMe SSD storage. As for the battery, there is a 6-cell 83 WHr unit backed by a 330W high-speed adapter.
