Poco C50 launch in India could take place on January 3: Report

The upcoming Poco C50 launch has been revealed to take place on January 3. The report comes from by 91mobiles. The smartphone will be the third installment of the Poco C series to enter India, succeeding the Poco C3 in October 2020 and Poco C31 in September 2021. The Poco C50 is believed to be the successor of the Poco C40 which saw a global launch. That  smartphone came with a 6.71-inch display, an octa-core processor, and a 6,000 mAh battery capacity.

At this point, the brand has not revealed Poco C50 design or specifications. It is expected to be a budget smartphone (the C series is essentially an entry-level offering), so we could get basics like a plastic body and a waterdrop display. The smartphone may also offer an HD+ display and a basic processor from Snapdragon or MediaTek. Poco may start revealing the features soon.

The Poco C31 offers a 6.53-inch HD+ display and has a 13MP triple rear camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. The smartphone runs on a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. The Poco C31 has a 5000 mAh battery capacity along with 4GB RAM. This smartphone is available for ₹ 8,499.
