US, Japan Set to Collaborate for Joint Research on Semiconductors: Report

US and Japan are expected to partner for joint research for next-generation semiconductors, a Japanese media report stated. Top leaders from the two countries are set to engage in a conversation on Friday. Currently, Taiwan makes a vast majority of semiconductors under 10nm.
