Oppo Reno 8 series of phones were officially launched in India earlier in the month, and now, the Reno 8 from the series is going on sale today. Launched alongside the Oppo Pad Air budget tablet and the Oppo Enco X2 truly wireless noise-cancelling headphones, this new phone is the company's latest bet for the mid-range segment of the market.
The Oppo Reno 8 is available in only one variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for a price of ₹29,999. The phone is available on Flipkart with bank offers from HDFC, SBI, ICICI, and Kotak Bank.
Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate support and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The frame is made from plastic measuring 7.7mm and weighs 179 grams. The Reno 8 is available in two colours: Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black colours to choose from.
The Reno 8 is powered by the Dimensity 1300 chip and is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options to choose from. It runs on Android 12 based on ColorOS 12. It has a 50MP main camera with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s a 32MP selfie camera on the front, housed within the punch-hole notch cutout.
The rear cameras can record in 4K at 30FPS and supports EIS. The Reno 8 supports WiFi 6, an in-screen fingerprint sensor and is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging out-of-the-box.
