Sony Bravia X80K smart TV with Google TV OS launched in India

Sony Bravia X80K is the new LCD TV from the brand in India that will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch. At present, only the 55-inch model is retailing in the country. Coming from the Bravia 8-series of LED TVs, the X80K sports a 4K Ultra HD display with HDR, Dolby Vision, 20W speakers, HDMI 2.1 goodness, and Google TV software. Sony has made the 55-inch sized X80K for ₹94,990. But on the Sony India website, this KD-55X80K TV model is listed for ₹1,29,900 (after taxes). You can purchase it via Sony Centers, e-commerce websites, and leading electronic stores across the country.

The front of the TV is a 4K LCD panel with Direct LED backlighting. There is no local dimming. It’s a 60Hz display. The picture output is benefitted from HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HLG. Sony backs the TV with its proprietary technologies like X1 4K HDR processor, Triluminous Pro for color tuning, X-Reality Pro for 4K upscaling, MotionFlow for frame interpolation-based smoothing, and a built-in light sensor for brightness optimization to room conditions. 

You also get Ambient Optimization for not just visuals but also sound enhancement to the indoor setting in which the TV is present. Speaking of sound, the X80K has got a 2x10W unit aided by Dolby Atmos.

Sony has given Android 10-based Google TV software. There’s support for Chromecast, hands-free Google Assistant, Apple AirPlay / Apple HomeKit, Alexa, Bravia Cam, and Living Decor (a kind of screensaver facility).

The new Bravia TV also comes with 16GB storage, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and HDMI 2.1 with eARC, and Auto Low Latency Mode.
