Samsung India has released the Galaxy A53 5G in India, just a few days after the global launch. The device was announced alongside the Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A73 5G. It comes with a 6.5-inch 120Hz FHD+ screen, a 64MP+12MP+5MP+5MP quartet by the back, an Exynos 1280 chipset, a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, and an Android 12 based One UI software experience. Samsung is assuring 4 years of platform updates and an additional year of security patches. You can grab the device in up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage options and here’s how much that would cost (along with introductory offers).

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is available at ₹34,999 for the 6+128GB model and ₹35,999 for the  8+128GB unit. Starting today and till March 31, 2022, you can pre-book the handset on some online stores and Samsung’s website, and offline shops.

As a launch offer, those who pre-book the Galaxy A53 5G can get a ₹3000 cashback with select banks or ₹2000 cashback with Samsung Finance+.

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G sports a 6.5-inch sAMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is an Infinity-O cutout housing a 32MP selfie snapper. The back cameras, on the other side, are a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP 123˚ ultrawide snapper, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 5MP depth sensor. 

At its heart, you will find an Exynos 1280 chip handling the performance with help from up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The latter is further expandable up to 1TB using a microSD card.

The battery size is 5000mAh and the supported charging speed is 25 watts. Other Galaxy A53 specifications are One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 (with 4 years of OS and 5 years of security updates), IP67 water and dust resistance, Knox Security, under-display fingerprint scanner, USB-C 2.0 port, Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi, stereo speakers. A notable missing feature is a 3.5mm headphone jack and Samsung has skipped an earphone and adapter from the box.
