Telegram Messenger update adds new features like Payments 20 and much more

There is a new update for Telegram Messenger and it adds a bunch of new features to the app. First spotted on the official Telegram blog, the update will not be available on the Google Play Store as yet. This is because it is taking a bit of time on Google’s end because it is currently experiencing longer than usual review times due to adjusted work schedules. If you are an iOS user, you can head on over to the App Store and update the app there. If you’re an Android user, you can still head on over to Telegram’s website to sideload the update to your device.

Telegram update adds new features to messaging app

Telegram has introduced Payments 2.0 with the update. Payments 2.0 allows merchants to receive payments made using credit cards. Telegram will take no commission from its users as well. Telegram has also created a demo channel for users to test how this works without spending a penny. Voice Chats 2.0 has also seen a few updates with a new feature that allows hosts and admins to schedule a voice chat. A countdown will then appear at the top of the screen. When the timer is up, hosts can then manually start the voice chat. Telegram first introduced Voice Chats for groups as part of an update back in December 2020. The same feature is now being extended to channels as well, meaning that users can now host live voice chat sessions like the increasingly popular invite-only Clubhouse app

You can check out the full details of the updates on Telegrams official website, right here. In fact, we earlier reported that Telegram has more downloads than an app like WhatsApp in 2021. You can read more about this story here.

The company only recently announced the India pricing of the console and now finally we have unboxings of the console going live and one thing is pretty clear - The console is HUGE!  So what do you get in the box? Well… besides the console itself (and the manuals), you get: DualSense controller USB Type-C charging cable for the controller HDMI 2.1 cable Power cable for the console (no bulky adapter/box) Plastic stand Now the plastic stand is used if you place the console on its side. As there is no flat surface on either side of the console, the stand will ensure that it remains still. But you can also place it when propping up the console vertically. However, it does seem like the PS5 can stand on its own vertically if need be. IGN’s unboxing video gives you a good idea of how to place the stand. All of the unboxing videos mention the size of the console because it is pr...
