JioGames announces Clash Royale tournament in India

JioGames will be hosting a 27-day Clash Royale tournament in India in partnership with the game’s developer, Supercell. The tournament is open to all and there are no registration fees involved. The company notes in its press release that the winner will be “bestowed” with the “India Kaa Gaming Champion” title. The semi-finals, as well as the finals of the tournament, will be streamed on JioTV.

Registration for the tournament is already underway and will go on till December 19. The finals will be held between December 21 and December 25. While the exact prize pool is not known, Jio notes that winners will get “big cash prizes” as well as weekly giveaways.

Those interested can register by clicking here.

Players will need maximum wins in the ‘1-versus-1’ games in order to qualify for the finals. However, the company did not specify how many wins will be needed to qualify.

Unlike Free Fire, PUBG Mobile or Call of Duty: Mobile, Clash Royale is a strategy game that challenges their wits as much as their reflexes. However, those with a penchant for something with more action should check out one of the many Free Fire and Call of Duty: Mobile tournaments that are popping up. If you prefer Free Fire, then Qualcomm’s first foray into esports in India might be just what you are looking for. The tournament is called Snapdragon Conquest: Free Fire Open 2020 and details for that will be revealed soon. If Call of Duty: Mobile is your preferred cup of tea, then Nodwin Gaming’s first-ever standalone Call of Duty: Mobile tournament called Call of Duty Mobile India Challenge 2020 might be just what the doctor ordered. This tournament will offer 5v5 multiplayer as well as battle royale. So games can choose a mode they are most comfortable with.

PS5 unboxing videos show how huge the console is

To say that Sony has been a bit coy when it comes to the PlayStation 5 would be a bit of an understatement. The company only recently announced the India pricing of the console and now finally we have unboxings of the console going live and one thing is pretty clear - The console is HUGE!  So what do you get in the box? Well… besides the console itself (and the manuals), you get: DualSense controller USB Type-C charging cable for the controller HDMI 2.1 cable Power cable for the console (no bulky adapter/box) Plastic stand Now the plastic stand is used if you place the console on its side. As there is no flat surface on either side of the console, the stand will ensure that it remains still. But you can also place it when propping up the console vertically. However, it does seem like the PS5 can stand on its own vertically if need be. IGN’s unboxing video gives you a good idea of how to place the stand. All of the unboxing videos mention the size of the console because it is pr...
