Qualcomm confirms the presence of Asus Zenfone 7, ROG Phone III and Legion Gaming Phone

Qualcomm has sent out press releases that confirm the upcoming unannounced smartphones that will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. The press release cover a range of topics that include the adoption of the company’s flagship mobile platform. It includes the name of the current flagships as well as the upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered phones. The list includes 18 smartphones.

The yet to be announced devices are:

Black Shark 3 FCNT arrows 5G Legion Gaming Phone Nubia Red Magic 5G OPPO Find X2 Redmi K30 Pro ROG Phone 3 Sharp AQUOS R5G Vivo APEX 2020 Concept Phone ZenFone 7 ZTE Axon 10s Pro

While these are the upcoming phones, the already launched iQOO 3, Realme X50 Pro 5G, Galaxy S20 series, and Mi 10 series are also mentioned in the press release. Lenovo had already confirmed that its Legion gaming phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. What’s new is the presence of the Asus Zenfone 7. However, its predecessor, the Zenfone 6Z had a flagship chipset too. Hence, it was likely to feature the latest flagship SoC.

Moreover, the next ROG phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. The handset will come pre-installed with Google Stadia. The press release also include smartphones from brands such as Fujitsu Connected Technologies, Sharp, and Sony. Further, Asus, Black Shark, iQoo, Nubia, Oppo, Realme, Redmi, Samsung, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi, and ZTE are also working with Qualcomm to offer the latest experience.

The company said, “after introducing the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform in December 2019, more than 70 designs have been announced or are in development based on the platform. Additionally, more than 1,750 designs have been announced or are in development based on our Snapdragon 8-series mobile platforms.”
