BSNL Rs 299, Rs 491 limited period broadband plans with up to 20Mbps Internet Speed: All Details

BSNL has been on a spree to reinvent itself by announcing new competitive plans that aim to offer more bang for your buck. It recently announced new offerings for new users and the telco has again rolled out two new broadband plans for its consumers, priced at Rs 299 and Rs 491. The two new plans are being offered on a promotional basis and will be available for new users till March 25. The Rs 299 broadband plan by BSNL offers 50GB high-speed monthly data at up to 20Mbps speeds and offers 1Mbps after 50GB data is exhausted. 

Coming to the Rs 491 plan, the option is called 120GB_CUL and offers up to 120GB high-speed data at speeds of up to 20Mbps. After exhausting high-speed data, one will sá¹­ill be able to access the internet at 1Mbps speeds. Both the Rs 299 and Rs 491 plans offer unlimited calling to any network. These plans were first spotted by TelecomTalk, which reports that these plans also offer ISD calling at Rs 1.2 per unit. Additionally, new consumers going for this plan will need to pay a Rs 500 security deposit for a new connection. 

Those who go for the Rs 299 plan will be migrated to the 2GB CUL plan after six months, which is priced at Rs 399. This option comes with 2GB daily data at 8Mbps speeds. As for the Rs 491 plan, users will be moved to the Rs 499 3GB CUL plan after six months, which offers 3GB daily data at 8Mbps speeds.

Previously, BSNL announced a new Rs 777 broadband plan that comes with up to 500GB data per month at speeds of up to 50Mbps. This new plan offers unlimited internet, which means one can surf the web at 2Mbps speeds after exhausting high-speed data. Additionally, one gets unlimited free calling to any network in the country. However, the report claims that the revived plan is valid only for six months, after which users will be shifted to  Rs 999 600GB CUL broadband plan. This slightly higher priced broadband plan by BSNL offers up to 80Mbps speeds with up to 600GB data per month. You can read more about it here.
