Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with 626-inch full-HD+ notched display, quad-camera setup launched in Thailand

Xiaomi has officially announced the Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone in Thailand. The new phone is quite similar to its predecessor in terms of design but following the trend, it gets a notch on its display. Additionally, it features a 19:9 display aspect ratio and comes with dual front-facing sensors with AI-enabled features and Beauty Mode. The main camera sensors also get an overhaul and the display size is slightly bigger this time. The company announced the device via its forum and Facebook page but it is not listed on its Thailand website yet.  Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications The Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor as its predecessor, the Redmi Note 5 Pro (review). It does feature a slightly larger 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi says that it sports 86 percent screen-to-body ratio, and its screen is protected by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass with 500 nits of brightness. The phone comes with 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage, however, there could be more memory and storage variants that might be revealed once the device is listed on the company’s website.  In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes equipped with dual 12 + 5 MP sensors. The 12 MP sensor features a f/1.9 aperture with 1.4um pixels and dual auto-focus support. The second one is a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it sports a 20MP main sensor that supports 4-in-1 pixel binning and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera is placed inside the notch, along with the proximity/ambient light sensor, speaker and the notification light. The whole package is powered by a 4000mAh battery, which is claimed to last up to 2 days on a single full charge. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Price  The smartphone is priced at THB 7,000 (Rs 15,713) and comes in Black, Blue and Rose Gold colour models. It is expected to be priced the same when it launches in India but there is no word yet on when it will be announced. In Thailand, Xiaomi is also offering the option of selecting from a free Mi Selfie Stick or Mi Wi-Fi Repeater with the device.
