Airtel offers unlimited calling, 10GB data for 168 days with new Rs 597 prepaid recharge

Airtel is reportedly offering a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 597, which offers voice, data and SMS benefits. As per TelecomTalk, the new plan is showing up only for select Airtel subscribers, so one should check if the offer is available for them or not before recharging. The new plan is said to be aimed at users who want unlimited voice benefits as there is no FUP on calling. However, one will get only 10 GB of data, along with 100 daily SMS for 168 days. The telco is expected to make the plan available for more users over time, however, the company already has another prepaid plan priced at Rs 1,000, which has the same validity of 168 days.  We recently compared some of the best-prepaid plans offered by various telecom operators under Rs 500. In this price range, Airtel’s plans are priced slightly higher than others. The telco has two plans priced at Rs 495 and Rs 499. The Rs 495 Airtel prepaid plan comes with 1.4 GB of daily data for 84 days, which totals to 117 GB data, while the Rs 499 plan offers 2 GB of daily data for 82 days, amounting to 164 GB of data. In comparison, Reliance Jio also has a prepaid plan priced at Rs 449 plan that offers 136 GB of 4G data (1.5 GB/Day) for a period of 91 days. Vodafone is offering 1.4 GB data daily at Rs 458 for 84 days, bringing the total data available in this plan to 117 GB. Finally, Idea’s best plan within this segment is the Rs 499 plan under which one can avail 2 GB of daily data for 82 days, giving subscribers a total of 164 GB data in just under five hundred rupees.
