Apple may soon offer single umbrella subscription service for magazine, TV and Apple music: Report

During its WorldWide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple introduced a feature in iOS 12 that will club all the notifications for a clean and smooth experience. It seems that the iPhone maker may apply the same concept for its existing as well as upcoming services. According to The Information, the Cupertino-based giant may combine its upcoming magazine service, its original content television and its Apple music offering into one umbrella subscription. Users will also have an option to subscribe to each service separately. Although the price of the whole package is still not known, apparently Apple will introduce a cost saving offer for the umbrella subscription as compared to paying for each service individually. Currently, the Apple Music service exists while other two are said to be under development. Apple offers Apple Music for $9.99 per month in the US, while in India, you can subscribe to the service for Rs 120 a month. As far as the magazine service is concerned, the company wants to launch an Apple news subscription service in 2019. The company acquired digital magazine service Texture in March this year. The platform gives users unlimited access to over 200 of the world’s best magazines for a monthly subscription fee. Now coming to the original TV content, last year the company reportedly planned to invest $1 billion in ramping up its original content offerings and hired former Sony corp executives to procure and produce TV shows and films for Apple Music platform. There were reports that the tech giant may buy Netflix but it seems the plans are still under consideration because Apple has been seen ordering original shows over the past year. So far, we know that a Steven Spielberg anthology series called ‘Amazing Stories’ will make its way to Apple's original programming lineup. Moreover, the company recently signed a multi-year content deal with Oprah Winfrey to create a slate of original shows.

PS5 unboxing videos show how huge the console is

To say that Sony has been a bit coy when it comes to the PlayStation 5 would be a bit of an understatement. The company only recently announced the India pricing of the console and now finally we have unboxings of the console going live and one thing is pretty clear - The console is HUGE!  So what do you get in the box? Well… besides the console itself (and the manuals), you get: DualSense controller USB Type-C charging cable for the controller HDMI 2.1 cable Power cable for the console (no bulky adapter/box) Plastic stand Now the plastic stand is used if you place the console on its side. As there is no flat surface on either side of the console, the stand will ensure that it remains still. But you can also place it when propping up the console vertically. However, it does seem like the PS5 can stand on its own vertically if need be. IGN’s unboxing video gives you a good idea of how to place the stand. All of the unboxing videos mention the size of the console because it is pr...
