Popular streaming platform Netflix, which recently announced the 'Profile Transfer' feature to prevent password sharing, is now available in India. It is fully enabled and available to users. The "much requested" feature allows users to transfer their personalised recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games, and other preferences to a new account when they start their own membership, said the company. After the ads went online, multiple developers complained about getting gambling ads under their "You Might Also Like" section when they had never installed any of that application. NASA has kicked off a study to help scientists learn more about unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) or UFOs (unidentified flying objects). Over the course of nine months, the independent study team with 16 members will lay the groundwork for future study on the nature of UAPs for NASA and other organisations, the space agency said in a statement. Google Play has removed apps with more than 20 million downloads because they were using excessive mobile data and draining batteries, says a report. According to a report by McAfee, it identified new Clicker malware that sneaked into Google Play. In total, 16 applications that were previously on Google Play have been confirmed to have the malicious payload with an assumed 20 million installations. "Once the application is opened, it downloads its remote configuration by executing an HTTP request. After the configuration is downloaded, it registers the FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) listener to receive push messages," McAfee wrote in a blogpost. "At first glance, it seems like well-made Android software. However, it is hiding ad fraud features behind, armed with remote configuration and FCM techniques," it added. Tech giant Google has introduced a new feature called "Clear Calling" in its latest beta update for Pixel 7 series users to improve call clarity. The call quality enhancer is available for those who download the Android 13 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release) beta 3 software update. A hacker who stole unreleased songs from famous singers, including Ed Sheeran, Frank Ocean and Post Malone, has been sentenced to jail for 18 months. The hacker was arrested from a location in Ipswich, Suffolk, by the City of London Police. The police also seized seven devices from the place, including a storage drive with over 1,200 songs by 89 artists. Another laptop found at the location contained 595 illegal files, per a Metro report.  The hacker stole unreleased music from several known singers, including Ed Sheeran As per a BBC report, Ed Sheeran's digital accounts were hacked by 23-year-old Adrian Kwiatkowski. And it was from these accounts that the hacker managed to get a hold of the singer's two unreleased songs, which were traded in exchange for cryptocurrency on the dark web.
